What is Executive Order 14067 and why are people talking about it?

What is Executive Order 14067? Is Biden getting rid of cash? Are we replacing paper money with digital currency?

You may have been hearing this stuff floating around the internet. It was such a thing my TikTok subscribers overwhelmingly voted to have me explain what’s going on. So, thanks for the question guys…happy to help. If you want to vote on the bonus story I cover, subscribe to my TikTok page during my next live event.

First let me say as clearly as possible – no. President Biden is not replacing paper money with digital currency that is not what Executive Order 14067 does.

Here’s what it does.

On March 9th of this year, President Biden signed Executive Order 14067. This Executive Order does several things. But what I think everyone is freaking out about is the part where the President orders the US government agencies and the Federal Reserve to put a pep in their step when it comes to research and development of a *potential* United States Central Bank Digital Currency – known as CBDC.  For those of you who have been paying attention, I actually told you all about that research underway way back in this video on January 20th. It’s important to understand doing research on digital currency does *not* mean that paper money is going away tomorrow – if it goes away at all. It just means the government is saying hey – this might be a thing in the future so we, the government, should be prepared with infrastructure, rules and technology.

The purpose of Executive Order 14067 – is for all of the federal government to get with the program, and to recognize that millions of people have already invested in, traded and used cryptocurrencies, surpassing $3 trillion. The Executive Order wants the government to prepare, plan and come up with recommendations for ways the United States can be at the forefront of the change – if it happens – for the United States to be able to protect investors and consumers – for possible new regulations for digital assets to be put in place and to make digital currency accessible to everyone through infrastructure, if it becomes more widely used.

  1. Could this be talking about the chip in hand? There are people saying President Biden is signing this order for a chip in hand.

      1. Thank you, Lisa, for a very clear and accurate description of Executive Order 14067.
I received an email about this, full of misleading information. They wanted me to subscribe to their website for a “small fee”.So In a panic I asked Bing which is Microsoft windows search engine, and it sent me to your site, and your very helpful video.

  2. Thanks, this was very concise. I read the entire order and your presentation reflects the facts as I read them.
Maybe people should read, and think, before they speak, like you do.

  3. I typed in the EO number into the web search and yours was one of the first results, nice work!
I thought your video was clear and concise while also informative and entertaining.
CBDC’s are more than a potential, I think, seem like they are the planned way to combat decentralized digital money – which does threaten the power and control governments around the world happen.
Only other piece of feedback is that using “We the government” kind of reveals your political bias… just wanted to let you know – if you wanted to keep your bias concealed, like many influencers try to do…
    Blessings!

  4. For this nation to claim it has value and is trustworthy. We might want to get back to a currency that has intrinsic value instead of a promised value. Promised value looks like it is going the way of Bernie Madoff and Sam Bankman-Fries. Silver notes of commerce backed by Gold and other assets on deposit at the nation’s Currency reserve institution. Notice I did not say National Bank. Fort Knox was the Gold repository and can be again if the nation wanted to get back to a legal tender of value.

    1. I don’t share opinions. Only facts. The fact is President Biden has not officially replaced paper money with a digital dollar. That should give you the answer you’re looking for.
