Flurona is a term used as slang for when people test positive for both influenza and Covid19 at the same time. Doctors across the country are seeing increased cases of this co-infection in both adults and kids. Some symptoms and transmission can be similar.
If you suspect you have this you can test for both the flu and Covid19. And if you have questions please consult with your doctor.
Doctors don’t call it “flurona” but you may be hearing or seeing the term so I thought I’d explain what it is.
