We now know exactly what the stage is going to look like at tomorrow night’s Republican presidential primary debate. You wanna see it?

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy, former Vice President Mike Pence, former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley, former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, Senator Tim Scott, former Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson, and North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum have all qualified to debate.
If this is your first election cycle, or even if it’s not, it’s important to know candidates are placed on the stage based on their poll numbers with the highest polling candidates in center stage. And those with the lowest polling numbers are on the end. That’s why DeSantis and Ramaswamy are in the middle in the number one and number two slots.
Obviously, there is one glaring issue…and that is the far and away front runner in the GOP field, former President Donald Trump is not on this stage. That’s because he said people already know him and what he’s about so he’s skipping this debate.
So what can we expect for the eight candidates who will be on the stage. Well, even though the former president won’t be there, it’s pretty fair to say he will be discussed one way or another. Whether the moderators outright ask about him or one of the candidates bring him up. It’s also politics 101 to know whoever is standing in the middle of the stage will likely take the most incoming fire from the other candidates on the stage. You might be thinking – they’re all Republicans, why would they attack each other? Because only one of them can be the republican nominee for president. So by attacking the frontrunner on the stage – that could – in theory – put that frontrunner in a bad light and therefore knock down those poll numbers, giving the others an opportunity to get ahead. Lastly, we know for sure there is going to be a lot of talk about the current President Joe Biden.
We will likely also hear questions and debate about abortion and Ukraine.
The two-hour debate will be held in Milwaukee – the same city as the republican national convention next July. It will air on fox news at 9 pm eastern and will be moderated by Bret Baier and Martha MacCallum.
