Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton spent more than 6 hours being grilled by Republican and Democratic members of the House oversight committee about what she knows about Jeffrey Epstein. She said the committee was basically wasting their time with her.
And the Republican members of the committee basically acknowledged she probably wasn’t the one to ask about Epstein.
So what about her husband former President Bill Clinton? He’s the one that appears repeatedly in the Epstein files and he is going to testify under oath to the same members of the oversight committee tomorrow. Secretary Clinton said she’s 100% confident that he knew nothing about Epstein’s crimes.
But there was a legitimate question about Secretary Clinton’s alleged connection to Ghislaine Maxwell. Especially because this photo exists of Ghislaine Maxwell at Chelsea Clinton’s wedding. Here’s how the former secretary explained it.
Now – Democrats on this committee say by bringing the Clintons in under subpoena — Republicans just opened the door to requiring former presidents to testify under oath. They say if they take power back after the midterms — they are going to push to also depose President Trump – who also appears repeatedly in the Epstein files. Under the republican leadership of the committee right now – the chairman says they don’t need trump’s testimony under oath.
The committee chairman did not say when it would happen but he did promise that the full video of today’s deposition of Hillary Clinton will be released to the public very soon.
