UPDATE: The House has recessed for the evening. The Continuing Resolution vote will happen tomorrow.
Government shutdown update.
The Senate passed a that temporary bill to keep the government funded through December 16th. Final vote 72 to 25.
Now we have to wait for the House to vote. Officially the House Republicans are asking their members to vote no but it looks like Democrats have the numbers to pass it. But we’ll have to wait and see.
Lawmakers are debating right now on the House floor and could vote late tonight or tomorrow. If it passes that’ll get the bill to the President right before the government shuts down tomorrow night.
