The former President will *not* have to go on trial in Georgia for all those RICO charges next month.
The judge in the case today denied the request of District Attorney Fani Willis to try all of these 19 defendants on trial at once on October 23rd.
Judge McAfee issued this ruling today to sever former President Trump’s case along with 16 other co-defendants from the two defendants who have exercised their rights to a speedy trial. And the judge may even separate the defendants for trial even further
So what does that mean? It means former Trump lawyers Kenneth Chesboro and Sidney Powell will both go on trial on these RICO charges on October 23rd. The District Attorney will present her case and all of us will be able to watch it unfold live on TV. That means we are all going to get a very good look at all the evidence she has. Since she says it’s really the same case for everyone – this will give trump and the other 16 co-defendants a preview of exactly what they’re up against when they eventually go to trial.
