Over the weekend, the first of what’s expected to be many declassified September 11th documents was released by the FBI.
I told you in this video the president ordered the Justice Department to start reviewing and declassifying documents related to intelligence investigations surrounding the 9-11 attacks. Saying Americans deserved to know what their government knows about that horrific day while also not jeopardizing national security.
This 16-page document is the first. It’s a report from the FBI about its investigation into whether agents of the Saudi Arabian government provided any sort of support to the terrorist plot on 9-11.
The document itself is highly redacted – meaning – large portions of it are blacked out to protect things like names of FBI personnel, classified FBI information, or information that came from a secretive US grand jury.
The bottom line – to the families of 9-11 victims – this document is a small victory. Many of them feel the Saudi government knowingly provided financial and logistics support to the terrorism plot and in fact they’ve sued the Saudi government over it. The Saudi government has always denied any wrongdoing and there’s still no concrete evidence of any direct link with the ruling royal family.
for the rest of us – the document is sort of hard to understand and focuses on a tiny piece of the bigger 9-11 picture.
But the bottom line– it’s clear as late as 2016 — the u-s government was still investigating the potential ties between two of the hijackers and who may have helped them after they arrived in the United States in the year 2000.

If you’re a struggling small business owner this is for you or know a small business owner this information is for them send it to them if you have to.
The small business administration has extended another financial lifeline to help small business owners who have been struggling to stay afloat in this pandemic by improving its disaster loan program.
I’m talking about the economic injury disaster loan program – most of you know it as the EIDL and the terms are getting sweeter. I’ll get to that in a second but first….EIDL is a low-interest, fixed rate, long term loan program that allows the borrower 30 years to pay it back. The money must be used as “working capital” to make regular payments for operating expenses including payroll, rent/mortgage, utilities and other ordinary business expenses and to pay down business debt incurred at any time past or present.
These loans have been available for more than a year.
Here’s the new sweeter terms.
Originally the maximum loan amount was $500,000. Now – it’s $2 million. And the SBA is deferring the start of repayment for two years after the origination of the loan.
For the next 30 days – the SBA will continue to only approve and disburse funds for loans of $500,000 or less to ensure small businesses have access to these funds. The loans for up to $2 million will start to be reviewed by October 8.
This program will end on December 31, 2021 or when the funds are exhausted whichever happens first.
To find all the qualifications and apply for the loan go to SBA.gov and click on EIDL right there on the home page.
