Bureau of Labor Statistics released November’s Consumer Price Index report today. It found prices on all goods and services increased an average of 6.8% between November 2020 and November 2021. That’s the sharpest increase in 39 years!
The highest year or year spikes were found in:
- Meat, poultry, fish and eggs = UP 12.8%
- Energy UP 33.3%
- Used cars and trucks UP 31.4%
- Apparel UP 9.4%
These numbers are NOT seasonally adjusted. Also, you should keep in mind, November 2020 we were in a pandemic surge and lots of the country and world were shut down.
The Bureau of Labor Statistics says prices haven’t risen that fast since June 1982.
