Congress is gone from Washington DC until after the midterms

Now that Congress has temporarily funded the federal government both the House and Senate have left Washington, D.C.

That means no legislative votes will take place until November 14th well after the midterm elections.

There was some talk to have the Senate come back into session for a short stint in October but that was squashed.
