That is the first Truth Social post from President Biden’s 2024 presidential campaign.
Yes – you heard that correctly…. President Biden’s campaign just joined former President Trump’s social media platform. The verified account handle is Biden HQ, the avatar is the “Dark Brandon” image and for the last two hours that it’s been up, the account has been posting clips of Republicans like gov. Ron DeSantis, former Gov Nikki Haley, Rep. Matt Gaetz all calling out Trump for various reasons. They even include a clip from a Fox News host saying this about Biden’s recent speech on the Israel/Hamas war.
The bio says “just the facts, Jack. A project of Biden Harris 2024. The one person the account is following – former President Donald Trump.
The Biden campaign said they are “injecting our message” into the GOP primary coverage and plan to combat “mis and disinformation” about President Biden that may appear on Truth Social.
The account is brand new — the comment sections on each of the posts are exactly what you’d imagine they would be. The Biden HQ account has not responded to any of those comments – yet. But regardless — it’s certainly an interesting political move.
