Mark your calendars. The IRS has pushed back the 2021 tax filing deadline to April 18, 2022.
Normally taxes are due on April 15th but the IRS says the Emancipation Holiday in Washington D.C. falls on that day so the filing deadline has to be moved. If you live in Maine and Massachusetts, you get one more day after that. Your filing deadline is April 19, 2022 because of the Patriots’ holiday in those states.
