The IRS has dropped another two million stimulus payments today.
No this is not a new stimulus payment this is just the fifth batch of EIP 3 payments going out. This batch started processing on April 9 and the official pay date is today.
Who received eip3s by either direct deposit or checks today?
320,000 Veterans Affairs beneficiaries
850,000 eligible Americans who did not have their information in the IRS system but recently filed a tax return
700,000 “plus up” payments went out to people who were owed more stimulus money after their 2020 taxes were processed.
And
72,000 went to social security beneficiaries.
These payments will continue to roll out weekly as long as the IRS continues to process 2020 tax returns.

The federal vaccine advisory panel met today to discuss the rare blood clotting issues that temporarily put a pause on the Johnson & Johnson covid19 vaccine distribution.
The panel decided it needs more data to study this issue before it making any decision about its fate. They vowed to meet again in less than two weeks.
Of the 6 cases associated with this rare blood clotting, 1 woman died, 3 women are still in the hospital and 2 women were released.

The IRS commissioner testified in front of a congressional panel yesterday about the roll out of the monthly child tax credit as ordered in the latest stimulus package. The commissioner said the IRS would be ready to execute that monthly advance payment by the July deadline — however no specifics were given on *how* it would be executed or *when* you’ll be able to opt in or out. I spoke with the IRS spokesperson today who would *no* comment on the plans but said as soon as they’re available he’d let me know

As I told you in this video, president Biden has decided to start the drawdown of US troops in Afghanistan on May 1st and will gradually complete it by September 11th. Biden said his decision comes after review from our military, intelligence agencies and our allies. There is a lot of support for ending this nearly 20 year old war – but also push back because this may cause de-stabilization in that country. The Taliban has previously said if the US and NATO troops aren’t out of the country by May 1, they will resume attacks on the troops still there.
