Surprise surprise. There are at least six men in the Epstein files that may be co-conspirators — who –according to Representatives Ro Khanna and Thomas Massie are being protected….and it’s a problem.
Today was the first day that lawmakers were allowed to go to the department of justice and view the *unredacted* version of the Epstein files. And that’s how Representatives Massie and Khanna were able to put the pieces together to find these six men. Obviously with three million documents they won’t be the last. But one of them – according to Representative Massie is right here listed in the public Epstein files by the FBI as a co-conspirator of Jeffrey Epstein. You can see his name and picture are redacted. But today Massie and Khanna saw this page unredacted and Massie says this is actually a well known former CEO. He says according to the legislation he co sponsored with Representative Khanna – the Epstein transparency act – this CEO’s name who is listed as a co conspirator should be made public. And that’s not all – Massie and Khanna said they were able to see the unredacted version of this public document that contains a list of 20 names. Only Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell’s name were unredacted in the public version. Massie and Khanna said there are other men on this list whose names should be made public.
But the redaction problems don’t stop there. It turns out that that when Khanna and Massie went to view the unredacted files at the Department of Justice today – some of the files were still blacked out even for them. They believe that means those files were redacted long before they showed up at the department of justice. Then – who redacted them in the first place? The lawmakers say it was either the US attorneys or the FBI. But that’s still not an excuse.
They’re right – it’s right here in the very first line right after the title of the legislation it says that the attorney general shall make publicly available in a searchable and downloadable format all unclassified records, documents, communications and investigative materials in the possession of the Department of Justice including the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the United States Attorney’s office. It’s right there. So as of right now the FBI and US attorney’s offices are also not complying with the law.
There’s one more piece of this that I want to talk about because it’s been all over the internet…and we got some clarification today…p-s it’s also part of the DOJ redaction problem. You’ve probably already seen this email to Jeffrey Epstein from a sender whose name is redacted. The email says – “thank you for a fun night..your littlelst girl was a little naughty.” Obviously disgusting – but who is this sender? Why is this person’s name redacted? Well Representative Massie shed some light on that.
And there’s the problem. According to these lawmakers – the DOJ just redacted every female name in the files – except for Maxwell. Sure some of those females are survivors and they should be redacted – but it’s possible that a perpetrator was also a woman and in that case – that name should be made public too.
So now what? Well – Attorney General Pam Bondi is going to be testifying in front of the judiciary committee on Wednesday so we’ll hear what she says then. And between now and then Khanna and Massie are demanding the DOJ un-redact these names.
