Another 4 million Americans quit their jobs in November

The US jobs market remains strong with more than 1.7 jobs open per unemployed worker. Today’s Labor Department jobs report found workers continue to have confidence that they can easily find a new job. So much so that, 4.2 million workers quit their jobs in November. That makes 16 months in a row that 4 million or more workers quit their jobs every month.

The report found the sectors with the highest quit rate in November were Health care and social assistance (+82,000); transportation, warehousing, and utilities (+73,000); and information (+19,000).
