The CMS vaccine mandate deadline has just been pushed back but it doesn’t apply to every state. So, you need to watch this video till the end to understand how it may apply to you.
Obviously, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Covid19 vaccine mandate, you know it as CMS — only applies to healthcare workers and facilities that receive money from Medicare and Medicaid.
Let me preface this by saying – the Supreme Court will be hearing the case concerning this specific CMS mandate on January 7th so everything could change again after that – but in the meantime.
According to the new guidance that was just updated on the CMS website, staff at all heath care facilities must have received – at minimum, the first dose of Pfizer or Moderna or the J&J vaccine by January 27th with full vaccination completed by February 28th.
But! This doesn’t apply to everyone. As I told you in this video – if you live in one of these 25 states, you do *not* have to comply with these deadlines because of the federal court and appeals court rulings that granted a preliminary injunction as the cases continue to play out.
Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, Texas, Utah, West Virginia, and Wyoming.
Let me make it very clear – just because the Supreme Court is hearing this case on an emergency basis doesn’t mean they’re going to rule quickly. They may. But then again, they may not. There’s no way to tell if they’ll rule on anything before these deadlines.
