The Federal Trade Commission just announced a finalized rule that prohibits sellers from making it difficult to cancel a subscription or membership. It also prohibits sellers from collecting your billing information without your expressed consent and prevents sellers from automatically enrolling you in an auto-renew program. But what happens if and when this rule is challenged in the courts? And what ever happened to the FTC’s final rule that banned noncompete employment contracts? I interviewed Chairman Lina Khan about all of it.
