Former President Trump was supposed to participate in a live televised town hall with Univision tomorrow. But that has been postponed because of hurricane Milton barreling towards florida.
The thing is – the townhall was supposed to happen live from Miami tomorrow night but Florida is in hurricane Helene clean up mode and evacuation mode as people get out of this Milton’s monster path.
The president of Univision said “the health and safety of everyone involved in this event is the highest priority. We remain committed to providing this forum for US Hispanics when it is safe to do so.”
As of now the Trump live town hall will be airing on Wednesday October 16 at 10 p.m. eastern on Univision and Univision’s streaming service.
The network says 36 million Hispanics are eligible to vote in the United States and that makes them a large part of the electorate so this event will be tailored to them but will obviously have impacts for every other American voter too. And obviously both campaigns agree this is an important voting bloc because both former president trump and Vice President Harris have agreed to participate in this event. Univision says the audience will be made up of undecided Hispanic voters who will themselves be asking questions of each of the candidates about things like the economy, jobs, healthcare, immigration and foreign policy.
Vice President Harris’s live televised town hall on Univision will air still air this Thursday October 10th at 10 p.m. eastern from Las Vegas.
