Trump & Harris to speak about plans to fix the economy THIS WEEK!

August 13, 2024

These two have talked a lot of shit about each other on the campaign trail. But when are they going to talk about their actual plans for the economy.

The answer is – this week.

Former President Trump is going to talk about it tomorrow and Vice President Harris is going to talk about it on Friday.

Up first – tomorrow former President Trump will take the stage in the swing state of North Carolina. Trump won the state in 2016 and in 2020, but the Democrats think they have a shot at flipping it.

Trump’s campaign says during that speech he’ll talk about his economic policy proposals. In case you missed it – during the republican national convention — I told you all about the official policy positions of the entire republican party. The GOP platform is what the republican party officially stands for and Trump himself had significant hand writing it.

Then on Friday also in North Carolina – we are going to hear from Vice President Kamala Harris about her economic proposals. This event was scheduled last week but she had to cancel it and reschedule because of Tropical Storm Debby. This Friday will be her first policy-centered speech since officially becoming the Democratic nominee for president.

Now – the official Democratic party policy platform will not be approved and released until the Democratic National Convention next week but it will likely mirror what Harris’s policy positions will be. At this point we don’t know much about her plans but her campaign says they will center around “lowering the costs for middle class families” and will take on “corporate price-gouging.”

It’s important for you to understand that when you are Vice President, you don’t get to have your own agenda. Your agenda is the President’s agenda. So in Harris’s case, for the last four years – her job was to support President Biden’s proposals and agenda. Just like it was Mike Pence’s job to support the agenda and policies of Trump when he was President.

It will be very interesting to see whether Harris sticks close to Biden’s policies or if she decides to pave her own path. Chances are, she’s going to do a little of both.
