Game on. Vice President Harris confirmed we are getting a presidential debate on September 10th between herself and former President Trump.
It’s just the other ones that are in question. At this point it does not look like the Fox debate on September 4th is going to happen but the NBC debate may be in play.
But that’s not all vice President Harris said. She answered a few other questions from reporters assembled on the tarmac after her rally in Detroit.
For the first time she publicly addressed the criticism coming from the Trump campaign about her running mate’s military service record. Governor Tim Walz spent 24 years serving in the Army National Guard and deployed to Italy in 2003 for almost a year in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. Walz retired from the Army National Guard in May of 2005 after announcing he would run for Congress in February 2005. His guard unit received an official mobilization order – basically a deployment notice — from the United States army in July of 2005, the unit mobilized in October of 2005 and then actually deployed to Iraq the following year in march of 2006. Senator JD Vance former President Trump’s running mate—who served in the Marines — has been criticizing the timing of Walz’s retirement saying he abandoned his National Guard unit just before they deployed.
Vice president Harris disagrees.
I’m sure that’s not the last we’re going to hear about this issue.
But the Vice President answered one other question. She addressed the criticism that she hasn’t sat down for an interview since becoming the democratic nominee for president.
