You’re looking at video just declassified and released by the Pentagon of the us airstrikes conducted in Syria last night.
It’s something we don’t get to see this quickly very often.
This thing they’re blowing up – is a weapons storage depot in Syria that belongs to Iran’s Islamic revolutionary guard and their affiliated groups.
I’ve been telling you for weeks that these Iran-backed militia groups have been targeting US and coalition troops and bases in both Iraq and Syria. This is all in connection to the increased number of US troops deployed to the Middle East to deter further escalation in the conflict between Israel and Hamas. Between October 17 and today —the Pentagon says there have been a total of 46 attacks by Iran-backed militia groups and 56 US personnel have been injured. Those injuries include traumatic brain injuries and other minor injuries though the Pentagon says all who have sustained injuries are back on the job. But because of these attacks the President – again– ordered retaliatory strikes.
And that’s what you’re looking at. The Pentagon says it was two F15s that carried out these precision strikes, and the initial analysis shows there were multiple secondary explosions as expected.
The Pentagon says the strikes are meant to send a message to Iran that they need to get a tighter leash on their proxy groups and they need to knock it off with these attacks. These strikes are not meant to escalate tensions – but if the attacks continue the Pentagon says the United States reserves the right to defend its troops by taking further measures at a time and place of our choosing.
