We now know the exact deal former President Trump’s lawyers agreed to in order to keep him out of jail ahead of his RICO trial in Georgia.
Trump’s consent bond order has just been released.
It says in order to stay out of jail the former president must post $200,000 bond. But that’s not all.
He also “shall perform no act to intimidate any person known to him to be a codefendant or witness in this case.” He cannot make any direct or indirect threat of any kind. He also cannot communicate either directly or indirectly about the facts of this case with any person known to him to be a witness. And that includes social media – in letter “e” it says this includes but is not limited to posts on social media or reposts of posts made by another individual on social media. Snap.
It’s important for you to understand Trump’s lawyers negotiated this deal with the district attorney, you see they all signed it – and the judge signed off.
Now that this deal is done, the next step is for the former President to turn himself in to be arrested, processed and then released ahead of his arraignment. He needs to that by this Friday at noon.
